Objective:

A position as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, utilizing my inventiveness, project management skills and experience with advanced project engineering and cutting edge design

Background Summary

Over 16 years of experience designing and developing high tech equipment

Proven track record of taking innovative concepts and developing them, then constructing cost effective equipment, improving profitability.

Expertise in the use of CAD (Solidworks, Pro-E), FEA (Cosmos, Abaqus, Nastran) and Optics (Optisworks, TracePro, Zemax) programs.

Broad background in high speed production machinery, optical equipment, micro design, precision tooling and FDA/Medical products and systems

Selected Accomplishments

Invented the world’s 1st high resolution, fully adjustable, wide field of view head mounted display, in use by NASA, Ariane Space, and others

Managed from concept thru installation, 7 types of automated opto-mechanical high volume final testers, exceeding FDA/Medical requirements

Designed optical inspection system for sub-micron defect detection, a robotic machine multiplexing 16 quad cameras, or up to 1024 sq inches

Co-designed, developed and marketed the world’s most advanced piston engines:  a paradigm shifting new patent, the engine’s efficiency is more than twice that of any existing design; the 4 cylinder has less than 100 parts total.

Invented and developed

a Gamma ray projector with a patented shutter. Negotiated with Oak Ridge National Labs to mate mappers and electron beam guides, thus enabling removal of cancers without invasive surgery.
